Founded in 1981, Southwest Microwave Incorporation is located in Tempe, Arizona, USA. It’s initial products were applications oriented electronic perimeter intrusion detection systems and 23 GHz wireless CCTV transmission equipment.

There are two divisions of Southwest Microwave: Security Systems Division (http://www.southwestmicrowave.com/ssd/) and the Microwave Products Division (MPD) (http://mpd.southwestmicrowave.com/). MPD was established in 1987 to provide the interconnect products for millimeter wave and high-power RF applications. The Security Systems Division specializes in security systems.
